Our History

Enercontrol Technologies was established in 1995 after Bill Prout, principle, lived off-grid for more than 3 years with his family in the Town of Alton, Caledon, using wind and solar energy.

The expererience gained, led to involvment in wind energy co-operatives and a seat on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association. Bill was responsible for bringing the World Wind Energy Conference to Kingston Ontario which initiated the Green Energy Act and the Feed in Tarif (FIT and MicroFit) programs legislated by the Ontario Power Authority and the Ministry of Energy for the Province of Ontario. Through selling and installing off-grid systems, experience, was gained giving us the knowledge, to give our clients dependable systems, powering their facilities in cottage country and Caledon.

Our Business

Our business is based on trust between ourselves and our clients. We provide a turnkey solution including site visits and evaluation, a Retscreen Clean Energy anaylysis which will give you an accurate forcast of your investment return, your payback and annual income, plus a detailed quotation of the products and price for the system that we recommend. We then will fill out your applications with the Ontario Power Authority  and your Local Distribution Company (LDC) to get connected. We provide this service at no charge with the hope that you will trust us to deliver the goods from start to finish.
